Get low.

Jay took the idea I’ve been scheming up for a while now and executed it before I could. We solved one issue with getting an xB low. :) The rear hub can now rise 4 inches higher than it could before we made the modifications. The only thing holding the car off the ground in the rear are the tires. He’s pulling the spacers and possibly camber shims in attempts to get it down all the way. It’s less than a half inch from laying out in the rear. The front is already on the ground…and yet appears to be higher haha.

Every little bit counts.

Over the last two or three months, I’ve tried to take all of the change I receive while out and about, find in my car, and find on the ground and put it all in a large water jug. The work paid off. With relatively no effort, I managed to save $86 when I counted it up a few minutes ago. I don’t see why so many people just throw their coins around!

The Internet is a distraction.

So classes are boring and surfing the Internet is so much more rewarding than actually doing any work right now. Over the past week while putting of school work, I’ve been reading up on military specification wiring and a whole lot of suspension design theory. Both are some really interesting and complex topics that I’ll hopefully pick up the basics of at some point. Until then, here’s a video I found earlier today. It was the best music video at SXSW this year. I love the idea behind this…and the song kicks ass too.

Turbo FD

Shot this about two weeks ago at the local Mazda Thunder meet. Turbo FD that shoots flames. I think the shot turned out alright despite my lens being broken and super dirty. Time to send it in for repair…

Boxed in the Smokies 2010

I forgot to post pics from the trip up here! Over my spring break, the Scion event that a friend and I came up with last year, had it’s second – what appears to be annual now – meet up in Gatlinburg, TN. The week before the trip, I realized I needed new tires. So, I finally finished polishing my TRD wheels…with a lot of help from friends. We’re talking 4 days of sanding 8-10 hours a day with 2-4 people at any given time. Thanks guys!

We stayed in this 52 person cabin with 12 bedrooms, 3 hot tubs, a pool table, 5 decks, 2 fridges, etc. It was baller.

Had to get a little photoshoot with the finished wheels:

Finally, we filmed Jay dragging the strip for the official video:

I can’t wait until next year! Pics courtesy of Yuto Toyama.
