Well, my fears are finally a reality. Last night as I was working on my laptop, my trackpad mouse button became unusable and became stuck without anything spilling on it.

This morning, I realized my battery had swollen to the point where it was compressing the underside of my case enough to cause the button to become pressed against the trackpad. I’ll be calling Apple tomorrow, they better replace it as I can’t really afford the battery right now. :(
