I just realized I never finished updating the cars page of my website (click the cruising link at the top of the page ). With the boredom that I have available to me tonight, I will update the page. Here is the first car to go on the page: my 2005 Scion xB.

This car will forever hold a special place in my heart. It was my first car and my first heavily modified vehicle. I have never driven this thing stock. I made the mistake of getting the “mod bug” before hopping in the car, turning the key, and driving somewhere was even an option. I had a stereo setup installed by the time I had a driving permit. From there, things…well…got much, much worse. Almost six years, an amount of money that I never want to fully sum up, and much learning later, it has: full air suspension, a wiretuck, suede interior, one of 4 known sets of tail lights in the country, dvd player touch screen, and more modifications that I will list after the break.

Summer came fast and went by even faster. The start of the semester arrived quickly and now the first round of exams is here. One of my goals for the summer was to make a country trip with a few of my friends. Unfortunately, that never happened. Car builds got in the way, family matters with friends, just about everything worked against the original plan.

Tomorrow, this changes! I am flying out of Louisville, KY to Dallas then Salt Lake City, Utah with one of my best friends from high school. Once landing in Salt Lake City we will be picking up our rental car and heading through the vast Bonneville salt flats – a goal of mine to have visited some day – to Elko, Nevada to pick up an extremely rare imported car (right hand drive and all). Once the car is in our possession, we will be returning the rental to Salt Lake, and driving across the country in one hell of a vehicle to make this memorable trip in. Both of us will be full armed with Nikon DSLRs so expect pictures soon.

I captured this at Slamology 2010 about a month ago in Indianapolis, IN. The air brush work on this truck was amazing and you can tell the guy drove the truck often. Mad respect in my book.
